Character Name: John Harvey Cade

Age: 16
Social Status/gang: Greaser
Appearance: "...slight build...He had big black eyes in a dark tanned face; his hair was jet-black and heavily greased and combed to the side, but it was so long that it fell in shaggy bangs across his forehead. He had a nervous, suspicious look in his eyes."
Personality: Anxious, shy, and incredibly strong. He's loyal to his buddies and is a good man in a rumble.
Family: Mother: Barbara Cade. Father: Harvey Cade. They're not nice people.
History: Johnny was an accident baby. His parents weren't really ready for him, but tried to be good parents anyway. He was born prematturely and was therefore small, thin, and sick all the time. Harvey would stay home with Johnny--sometimes when he wasn't even sick. After Harvey god laid off, he started drinking and beat the hell out of Johnny. That was the last time Johnny cried and he was quiet, depressed, and anxious ever since.
Sample: The thing about being quiet was that if you didn’t say anything, everyone would pretend you weren’t there. It used to piss me off, but I got used to it. Besides, it could be handy.
I’d found a few coins on the street earlier that day, enough to treat myself to a nice sized burger at the Dingo. The place was almost full. I was ready to turn out, but I felt myself getting shaky from lack of food. I could have gone to the Curtises, but I didn’t want to take their pity casseroles from them, no matter how much they themselves didn’t want to eat them. They were the best buddies a guy could ask for, but sometimes they were just too much.
